MMADE DESIGN Inc. is a full-service studio that works with a variety of clients to achieve their unique design goals and ambitions. Private residential projects are our bread and butter, from single room updates, to complete overhaul renovations, and new build construction, we work on everything from foundations to finishes.
We also work on small scale commercial projects, including improvements to the Kicking Horse Coffee headquarters, new clinics for health and wellness practitioners and rezoning properties for multi-tenant use.

What sets us apart from other designers is that we take a personalized approach to each project, making sure each space is perfectly choreographed to our clients’ needs, whether that be accessibility, budget, aesthetic, or building materials. The technical term for this is called human-centred design and you’ll see us reference it a lot in our work because it is the essence of what we do.
We work closely with all of our clients to discern the specific ways they interact with their environment to create spaces that have a holistic feel and function. Like designing the interior of a ship, we are intentional about multi-purposing everything, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but full of user-inspired life hacks.
A lot of the magic happens during our revision process, where we look at multiple design avenues and put our clients to work, drilling down to the details, and incorporating more and more of the elements that make a space truly theirs.

About the Founder

From a young age Magda’s proclivity for painting and sewing fed her entrepreneurial instincts. She complimented her years in school and professional endeavours by creating watercolour cards and bespoke garments. These handcrafted pieces were labeled and sold with the company name, “Magda Made”.
After attaining Planning, Environmental Design and Architecture Degrees from Dalhousie University and studying abroad in Barcelona with Texas A&M University, Magda took on architectural placements with studios in Victoria, London (UK), and Calgary. These positive experiences helped her develop a passion for critical design and project management. In early 2016, Magda decided to take a deep dive back into entrepreneurial pursuits, his time, more formally: MMADE Design Inc. was born. Magda enjoys working closely with clients, builders, and her peers on projects that range in size and character to make buildings that have clarity of form and detail, and are simple, elegant, and contemporary. She strives to enrich the lives of her clients by creating spaces for them that empower their uniqueness. Born and raised in Halifax, NS, Magda is a true water bug, evolving from a competitive swimming background into a love for water polo. Relaxing pursuits include painting, working on her own century home in Ramsay and lovingly tending to her many plants. She is an avid traveller and outdoors person, usually with her dog Luna along for the fun. |
